The movie Super-Intelligence, directed by Ben Falcone (real-life husband of Melissa McCarthy), sees Melissa McCarthy playing the lead role of Carol Peters, a former corporate executive whose earnest, yet unfulfilled, life is turned upside down when she is selected for observation by the world’s first superintelligence (James Corden) — a form of artificial intelligence that may or may not take over the world.
Originally a WB theatrical release, for Christmas 2019, the film has been dumped into the HBO Max arsenal. Super-Intelligence debuts on HBOMax Thanksgiving 2020.
