Mighty Oak

Mighty Oak Release Date: July 7, 2020

Mighty Oak follows band manager Gina Jackson (Janel Parrish), who struggles with losing her lead singer/brother (Levi Dylan) in a fatal car accident on the way to a gig. A decade later, Gina meets a 10-year-old music prodigy named Oak (who seems to possess the same qualities as her brother, Vaughn. But her friends become concerned when Gina starts to insist that Oak is really the reincarnation of Vaughn.

Originally scheduled for release in theaters in 2020, the film was put on the shelf due to Wuhan coronavirus and all movie theaters in the world being closed. It subsequently bypassed theaters and debuted on Video On Demand on July 7, 2020, (after a brief run in a handful of Drive-In theaters around the country).

The film was independently released by the filmmaker. The Paramount Pictures affiliation on the movie poster and film’s website is fraudulent. Paramount Pictures never invested in the film, nor agreed to release it. In fact, Variety was duped into writing a story featuring fraudulent information about the studio’s affiliation with the film.
