The movie Jumping The Gun tells the story of Eddie Ruggle, a struggling inventor who films his enthusiastic quest to launch a new sport, the 100 meter Jump Rope Sprint. As cameras follow him everywhere, from therapy sessions with his wife to races with premiere athletes, his crazy dream runs into reality. Can Jump Rope Sprint be the next Olympic sport?
Directed by Stephen Ihli, Jumping The Gun features an ensemble cast including Sean O’Bryan as Eddie Ruggle (Olympus Has Fallen, Mission Impossible 3), Kerris Dorsey (Ray Donovan, Moneyball), Kim Myers (Nightmare On Elm Street), Max Gail (Barney Miller), Peter Wingfield (Highlander), and David Burke (Law & Order).
The film debuts on VOD and will be available to rent and own on digital HD across U.S. cable, internet, and satellite platforms through Freestyle Digital Media on March 27, 2018.
