A Short History of Decay is a dark comedy about stepping up when your parents are going downhill; a love letter to anyone who’s ever been a caregiver for someone who raised them. A Short History of Decay is the story of a failed writer –aimless thirtysomething Brooklynite Nathan Fisher (Bryan Greenberg) — who is summoned to Florida when his father (Harris Yulin) is hospitalized, attended by his Alzheimer’s-stricken mother (Linda Lavin).
Written and directed by Michael Maren, A Short History of Decay features an ensemble cast, including Bryan Greenberg (‘Nathan Fisher’), Emmanuelle Chriqui (‘Erika’), Kathleen Rose Perkins (‘Shelly’), Linda Lavin (‘Sandy Fisher’), Harris Yulin (‘Bob Fisher’), and Benjamin King (‘Jack Fisher’).
