Daniel Craig returns to the James Bond franchise for the fifth time Bond 25.
At one point Craig said he would “rather slash my wrists” than play Bond again and said he would only do another film “for the money.” It goes without saying, the studio paid him well.
The 25th James Bond is still untitled. Columbia Pictures, the franchise’s distributor, usually settles on a title months after filming commences.
Oscar winning director Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) is in charge of the project.
Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris return in supporting roles.
The James Bond big screen franchise began in 1962 with Dr. No and Sean Connery in the title role.
In addition to Craig and Connery, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan have stepped into the shoes of James Bond.
Daniel Craig is 007 Again in Bond 25, in theaters in 2019.
