The movie The Truth revolves around Fabienne (Catherine Deneuve), a legendary movie star renowned for her talent and beauty. Despite her professional success, Fabienne has a strained relationship with her daughter Lumir (Juliette Binoche), a screenwriter. Things reach a boiling point after Lumir and her husband (Ethan Hawke) return to Paris and Fabienne publishes a memoir. Instead of a warm reunion, their meeting devolves into a brutal session of truth telling and resentment airing.
Originally scheduled for release on March 20, 2020, the film was put on the shelf due to Wuhan coronavirus and all movie theaters in the world being closed. Its new release date is July 3, 2020.
