Free Guy is in the vein of The Truman Show, where a bank teller (Ryan Reynolds) stuck in his routine discovers he’s a background character in a rather brutal open world, action-adventure video game and he is the only one capable of saving his world.

Channing Tatum makes a cameo in the film.
Originally scheduled for release on July 3, 2020, the film was put on the shelf due to Wuhan coronavirus and all movie theaters in the world being closed. Its new, tentative, release date is December 11, 2020 TBD.
