In the movie Antebellum, written and directed by first time directors Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz, and starring Janelle Monáe, Marque Richardson II, Eric Lang, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, Tongayi Chirisa, Gabourey Sidibe and Jena Malone, successful author Veronica Henley (Monáe) finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late.
Antebellum is being marketed as a horror film.
Originally scheduled for theatrical release on June 5, 2020, due to Wuhan coronavirus and all movie theaters in the world being closed, the film bypassed movie theaters and debuts on Video On Demand September 18, 2020.
