The movie Hustlers is inspired by the Jessica Pressler article in New York Magazine entitled, “The Hustlers at Scores”, which details a crew of savvy former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients.
In the film group of strippers get their revenge on wealthy, drunk and abusive clients by maxing out their credit cards after they’ve passed out.
Jennifer Lopez plays ringleader to the group of ambitious women who take their plans of getting their full cut too far. Candace Wu costars along with Cardi B, in her big screen debut. Has been, Julia Stiles, also stars in the film. Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, and (gasp) Lizzo, costar.
The film was originally set up at Annapurna Pictures, owned by Larry Ellison and run by his daughter Meghan. Larry Ellison sold the film to STX in early October 2018.
