Charlie’s Angels (2019) is a reboot of the 2000 film of the same name, which itself was a reboot of the 1970s TV show that featured three scantily clad women undercover detectives.
Elizabeth Banks directs this Charlie’s Angels. She might best be known for playing Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games movies. However, she is also an accomplished director, taking the reins of Pitch Perfect 2, the highest grossing film in the series, by more than double, with over $184,296,230 in U.S. theaters, alone.
The original Charlie’s Angels film featured Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz in the lead roles.
In the reboot, Kristen Stewart, Ella Balinska and Naomi Scott play the three Angels. Patrick Stewart plays Charlie.
