In the film A Million Little Pieces, a fictionalized, fabricated account of James Frey’s life, (which was exposed as a fraud on Oprah), a young drug-addled writer approaching the bottom of his descent submits to two months of agonizing detox at a treatment center in Minnesota.
Charlie Hunnam, Billy Bob Thornton, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ryan Hurst, Juliette Lewis and Giovanni Ribisi star in the movie, which is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson.
The film made its debut at the 2018 Toronto Film Festival. Its UK theatrical debut is August 2019.
