The movie The Desert Bride tells the story of Teresa, a 54-year-old woman who works as a domestic employee in a family home in Buenos Aires.
For decades she has taken refuge in the routine of her tasks but now, after the family decision to sell the house and after years of service, she is adrift. Without alternatives, she accepts a new job in the province of San Juan.
In her first stop, the Sanctuary of the Difunta Correa, Teresa loses the bag in which she carries her only belongings. The unexpected accident will take her to cross the desert cuyano next to an unknown, the Gringo, its new companion of search.
This hawker with his rickety pickup truck will be trimmed over the barren landscape as a threatening and attractive option. As the journey progresses and together they penetrate the different universes, this silent and opaque woman will slowly dye her color and life.
