In the movie Show Dogs, Max, a macho, solitary Rottweiler police dog is ordered to go undercover as a primped show dog in a prestigious dog show, along with his human partner, to avert a disaster from happening.
Show Dogs is a family comedy about the unlikely pairing of a human detective (Will Arnett) and his canine partner (voice of Chris “Ludacris” Bridges), who has to go undercover at the world’s most exclusive dog show to solve his biggest case yet.
Show Dogs is the fourth talking dog film Raja Gosnell has directed. Scooby-Doo (2002), Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004) and Beverly Hills Chihuahua (2008) are the other three.
Director Raja Gosnell and actor Alan Cumming previously worked together on The Smurfs (2011), and The Smurfs 2 (2013), which were both live-action/animated films, respectively.
