Set in Japan, the movie Isle of Dogs, from eccentric director Wes Anderson (Moonrise Kingdom), follows a boy’s odyssey in search of his dog.
An outbreak of canine flu in Japan leads all dogs to be quarantined on an island. A boy (voice of Koyu Rankin) journeys there to rescue his dog Spots (Liev Schreiber), and gets help from a pack of misfit canines who have also been exiled. His quest inspires a group of dog lovers to expose a government conspiracy.
The movie is a stop-motion animated comedy film and features the voices of Wes Anderson, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Jeff Goldblum, F. Murray Abraham, Tilda Swinton, Kunichi Nomura, Bob Balaban, Harvey Keitel, and Edward Norton, with Bryan Cranston, Liev Schreiber, Scarlett Johansson, Yoko Ono, Greta Gerwig, and Courtney B. Vance also providing voices for the film.
