In the film Aquaman, based on the DC Comics character of the same name, Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world.
Jason Momoa plays the title character. His first big screen role was in the 2011 Conan The Barbarian remake.
James Wan directs the film. Wan is best known for directing the first Saw movie, the first Insidious movie, The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, and the final Fast and the Furious movie featuring Paul Walker, Furious 7.
