The Shallows

In the movie The Shallows, Nancy (Blake Lively) is attacked by a great white shark while surfing alone, she is stranded just a short distance from shore. Though she is only 200 yards from her survival, getting there proves the ultimate contest of wills.

Columbia Pictures is hoping that the movie The Shallows gets people as scared yet excited about sharks as Steven Spielberg’s Jaw did 40 years ago.

However, it is doubtful that The Shallows will even come 5% as close to the box office success that Jaws did when he swam into theaters, becoming the first summer movie blockbuster of all time.

The movie The Shallows was filmed in Australia.
