Why movie studios make movies that will never make money will never cease to amaze us.
And Eddie The Eagle is another one of those movies.
No one. No one cares about a movie that tells the story of Great Britain’s first ski jumper to enter the Winter Olympics, other than his mother, and she is dead.
However, 20th Century Fox thinks it has a hit on its hands. AND they are giving away tons of FREE PASSES to FREE ADVANCE MOVIE SCREENINGS of the movie. For Free Passes to EDDIE THE EAGLE Free Advance Movie Screenings, CLICK HERE.
The only redeeming thing about this movie? Its star, Taron Egerton, who was the main reason to keep glued to Kingsman last year.
Here’s what the studio releasing the film wants you to think: Inspired by true events, Eddie the Eagle is a feel-good story about Michael “Eddie” Edwards (Taron Egerton), an unlikely but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself – even as an entire nation was counting him out. With the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach (played by Hugh Jackman), Eddie takes on the establishment and wins the hearts of sports fans around the world by making an improbable and historic showing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. From producers of Kingsman: The Secret Service, Eddie the Eagle stars Taron Egerton as Eddie, the loveable underdog with a never say die attitude.
