Barbershop 3, AKA Barbershop The Next Cut, arrives in theaters in April 2016.
The first Barbershop movie played in theaters in 2002 and took in just over $75 million in the United States, with movie critics loving the film. The majority thought this of the original: Besides bringing on the laughs, Barbershop displays a big heart and demonstrates the value of community.
Barbershop 2 arrived in theaters two years later, in 2004, and grabbed $65 million. Critics didn’t despise the second in the series but neither did they like it as much as the original, saying: The humor is less sharp and more warm-hearted this time around, and the characters are enjoyable to revisit.
What will they say about Barbershop 3? Stay tuned.
