The Woman In Black 2 (which has the official title of The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death) is a sequel to the 2012 movie The Woman In Black, which stars Daniel Radcliffe. (He is not in this, the sequel). The film was originally set for release on January 30, 2014 release but was pushed back a full year.
In the movie, during the London bombings of World War II, school teachers Eve Parkins (Phoebe Fox) and Jean Hogg (Helen McCrory) lead a group of children in evacuation to Crythin Gifford, a remote village outside of the city. When the group takes up residence at the Eel Marsh House, 40 years after Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) investigated the first haunting, Eve soon realizes they are not alone.
The longer they stay in the house, the more the awful past of the residence unravels itself and the evil spirit that lurks around them threatens the well-being of the children. With the help of a pilot (Jeremy Irvine), Eve does all that she can to protect the children and discover the truth behind the Woman in Black.
The first The Woman In Black movie earned $54 million at the U.S. movie box office. In addition, the original, directed by James Watkins, became the highest grossing British horror film of the past 20 years, grabbing over $33 million in the U.K. and more than $120 million at the box office worldwide (including the United States).
The Woman In Black 2, a Hammer Films production, earned just over $26 million in the United States during its short theatrical run.
