In a hyper-linked social media age, an orphaned teenage girl, Jerrica Jem Benton, becomes an online recording sensation, and she and her sisters embark on a music-driven scavenger hunt – one that sends them on an adventure across Los Angeles – in an attempt to unlock a final message left by her father.
The movie Jem And The Holograms is a musical adventure based on the 1980s Hasbro toy line that was also an animated TV series that ran from 1985 to 1988. The movie features a case of unknowns in the lead roles: Aubrey Peeples as Jem, Stefanie Scott as Kimber, Hayley Kiyoko as Aja and Aurora Perrineau as Shana.
Molly Ringwald does show up in the movie as Mrs. Bailey.
