The 2016 Oscars hopeful Concussion takes a look at how American football players suffer from major head injuries and life-long debilitating problems as a result of repeated concussions and efforts by the National Football League to deny it.
The movie Concussion is based on the 2009 GQ article Game Brain by Jeanne Marie Laskas.
Concussion focuses on a forensic pathologist and neuropathologist, Dr. Bennet Omalu played by Will Smith, who discovers CTE in the brains of two NFL players, which later leads them to suicides.
Will Smith is shooting for a 2016 Best Actor Oscar nomination for his role in the movie Concussion.
