Veronica Mars was a TV show on The WB from 2004-2007.
The show was canceled after three seasons because of dreadfully low ratings. However, the few fans that the TV show Veronica Mars did have rebelled and demanded a big screen movie, if not the series’ return to television.
A Kickstarter campaign was launched in March 2013 with a goal of raising $2 million. However, during the 30 day campaign, more than $5.7 million was raised, much of the money from Veronica Mars fans.
In the Veronica Mars Movie, it’s been nine years since Veronica Mars has been home. She has since left her private investigator business behind, having graduated from Columbia Law School in NYC. She’s still dating lovable loser Piz, and is looking for work as a lawyer when news breaks that her former boyfriend Logan Echolls has been framed for the murder of his pop star girlfriend. She sets a course for her Neptune high school reunion, hoping to set the record straight and save her friend.
