In the movie Last Weekend (Patricia Clarkson), an affluent matriarch, gathers her dysfunctional family – including her queeny son and his queenier boyfriend – for a holiday at their Northern California lake house, (one last time before she sells it), her carefully constructed weekend begins to come apart at the seams, leading her to question her own role in the family.
To say the least, the movie Last Weekend is a disaster even though Patricia Clarkson, ever since her breakthrough role as the wife of Kevin Costner and his Eliot Ness in the 1987 movie The Untouchables, is a marvelous actress.
