Released in the UK in 2012, to horrible movie reviews, Gambit, starring Oscar winner Colin Firth (The King’s Speech) finally received a U.S. release date by the nearly defunct studio CBS Films. (As expected, it was a bomb of Hiroshima proportions at the U.S. movie box office).
In the Gambit movie starring Colin Firth, an art curator decides to seek revenge on his abusive boss by conning him into buying a fake Monet, but his plan requires the help of an eccentric and unpredictable Texas rodeo queen.
The original Gambit, starring Michael Caine and Shirley MacClaine (playing a Eurasian), was released in 1966.
