The Express

The Express Release Date: August 8, 2013

The movie “The Express” is the true story of Ernie Davis, two-time All-American running back for Syracuse University who led his team to the national championship in 1960. In 1961, he became the first black man to win the Heisman Trophy. Later that year, he was the first pick in the NFL draft. But Davis never got the chance to play professional football, he was diagnosed with leukemia during the summer of 1962 and died nearly a year later. An uplifting film, not, but yet another ‘football movie’ trying to make a buck at the movie theater. (Undoubtedly, it will be a bomb, as all football movies, even ones starring George Clooney, , are!)
