Channing Tatum can solidify his A-list status in Hollywood if the movie Side Effects is a box office hit.
The movie Side Effects tells the story about a troubled and depressed woman (Oscar nominee Rooney Mara) who is taking serious amounts of prescription drugs to deal with the anxiety surrounding the pending release of her husband from prison.
Rooney Mara was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for her role in the U.S. version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Her sister, Kate Mara, starred in American Horror Story: Season 1. Both Mara girls are from the billionaire NFL families. Their mother’s side of the family owns the Pittsburgh Steelers. Their father’s side owns the NY Giants.
Costar Mamie Gummer is daugter of three-time Oscar winner Meryl Streep.
