A hairdresser who has lost her hair to cancer finds out her husband is having an affair, travels to Italy for her daughter’s wedding and meets a widower (Pierce Brosnan) who still blames the world for the loss of his wife.
The film’s director, the foreign Susan Bier, lays claim to directing the 2012 Oscar winner for Best Foreign Film, In A Better World, (which hardly anyone in America has seen) and the 2013 winter release that reunites 2013 Oscar nominees Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, Serena. She also directed the dreadful movie Things We Lost In The Fire, starring Halle Berry.
Pierce Brosnan, of course, will be best remembered for his portrayal of 007 in four very successful James Bond movies; Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, Goldeneye and Die Another Day.
