Depending on how you look at it, there is good and bad news for Toy’s House. A much loved festival circuit film bas been picked up by a movie studio. That’s the good news.
The bad news. It was picked up by CBS Films, a studio run by a bunch of folks who have been fired from every other movie studio. Their biggest ‘success’ at the box office to date, the box office bomb The Woman In Black, starring post Harry Potter Daniel Radcliffe.
Three unhappy teenage boys head into the wilderness with a plan to build a house and live off the land. The hottest of the bunch, Nick Robison, is currently plastered in COX TV commercials. (If you live in an area where COX cable is provided, you’ve seen him, with those unforgettable lips).
The movie The Kings Of Summer was originally entitled Toy’s House (after the main character’s last name).
The Kings Of Summer will be DOA.
