The character Ethan (featured in the Beautiful Creatures movie poster below) is played by Alden Ehrenreich who was “discovered” by Steven Spielberg at the batmitzvah of a friend of Spielberg’s daughter. It definitely pays to be Jewish in Hollywood, if you want to be discovered by Steven Spielberg. Shia LaBeouf, half Jewish, was helped out by Steven Spielberg, as well, and cast in the fourth Indiana Jones movie and the first three Transformers movies. Thankfully, Shia LaBeouf’s career as an actor is over. Let’s see how the career of Alden Ehrenreich fares. He is a lot cuter than Shia LaBeouf, so there is hope.
