A twisted and unusual take on the familiar “cabin in the woods” formula – starring , Chris Hemsworth.
The Cabin in the Woods has a storyline that provides a new twist on a classic scenario — in this case the young-people-stranded-in-the-woods horror trope. Richard Jenkins, 2009 Oscar nominee for and Bradley Whitford (The West Wing), not to be confused with the sexy Bradley Cooper, (of The Hangover), play white-collar co-workers with a mysterious connection to the cabin.
The movie was originally slated for a February 2010 big screen release by MGM. Due to MGM’s financial woes, the film’s release date was put on hold. Lionsgate came along to snatch it up and the movie’s release gets delayed more than two years.
