Adapted from George V. Higgins novel Cogan’s Trade and set in New Orleans, the retitled movie Killing Them Softly follows professional enforcer, Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt), who investigates a heist that occurs during a high stakes, mob-protected, poker game.
