Set in Middle America, a group of teens receive an online invitation for sex, though they soon encounter fundamentalists with a much more sinister agenda.
A group of young misfits encounter fundamentalism gone to the extreme in Middle America in the Kevin Smith movie Red State.The movie begins by following three horny high school boys who come across an online ad from an older woman looking for a gang bang. Boys being boys, they hit the road to satisfy their libidinal urges. But what begins as a fantasy takes a dark turn as they come face-to-face with a terrifying “holy” force with a fatal agenda. The movie is liberally (?) based on the life of the vile, hate speech filled and violent pastor Fred Phelps.
