Conan The Barbarian

Conan The Barbarian Release Date: August 19, 2011

A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil. Continuing in the tradition of “Witchblade” and “Astro Boy,” among other movies, “Conan The Barbarian” was given the honor of a teaser movie poster without the benefit of a finalized screenplay, let alone a star or director. It was announced in November 2008 that Bret Ratner would fill the shoes of the movie’s director. And when he bolted, Marcus Nispel took over as director. Then the film’s release date was bumped to 2010. It finally hits theaters in August 2011 and is expected to be a huge bomb.

The most legendary Barbarian of all time is back this Summer. Having thrived and evolved for eight consecutive decades in the public imagination- in prose and graphics, on the big screen and small, in games and properties of all kinds- Conan’s exploits in the Hyborian Age now come alive like never before in a colossal 3D action-adventure film.
