The movie “Bridesmaids” is a raunchy, R-rated comedy revolving around two women battling to plan their friend’s wedding party, starring SNL alumn Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph.
While we’ve seen a plethora of bride inspired movies over the years, e.g. “Bride Wars,” “The Wedding Planner,” to name just two, this is the first out of the hole that goes for the vulgar jugular. And we can’t wait. We’re giving it a chance, hoping it’s not as big of a bomb as Krisen Wiig’s last movie, “MacGruber.” Surely, nothing can be ‘that’ bad. Or can it?
Melissa McCarthy earned an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for Bridesmaids.
