A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)

A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) Release Date: April 30, 2010

Freddy Kruger returns in “A Nightmare On Elm Street,” a contemporary reimagining of the 1984 horror classic. A group of suburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Kruger, a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another, but when they fall asleep there is no escape.

Donning Freddy’s trademark fedora, red and green striped sweater, and four-bladed glove is Academy Award nominee Jackie Earle Haley.

“A Nightmare On Elm Street” is based on characters created by Wes Craven for his 1984 movie of the same name. The 1984 movie went on to become one of the horror genre’s longest running, most successful movie series, spawning seven sequels. Now, 25 years later, comes the contemporary incarnation of Freddy Kruger’s origin.
