Material Girls

Material Girls Release Date: August 18, 2006

Directly from the studio: “Material Girls is a light-hearted, teen comedy about a pair of “celebutante” sisters, who are famous only for being famous (much like another pair of infamous celebutante sisters). When their inheritance is stolen, they quickly discover who their real friends are, while also learning that there is more to real life than the glitz and glam of fame.”

Get this – the movie has tested so poorly, that there had been rumors – for months – that it may never see the darkness of theaters! And, yes, it is based on the Madonna song, “Material Girl.” Madonna is one of the film’s producers and even has a cameo. (Perhaps the horrific buzz this movie is getting is the reason why Madge decided – just the other day – to give up acting, forever.) Just how bad is “Material Girls?” Vomit inducing? So bad you would wish you were watching “Drop Dead Fred,” instead? Somewhere in between? You can judge for yourself by reading the entire story – in less than ten minutes – right here!
