"BEHIND THE SCENES" of "THE DARK KNIGHT with WILD ABOUT MOVIES

Dark Knight Poster

"The Dark Knight" - "The Dark Knight" movie, with the passing of Heath Ledger, became the most popular movie at movie theaters during the Summer of 2008. Even more so than "Indiana Jones 4." And not just for the curiosity factor, wanting to see the late Heath Ledger in his final performance. The movie was not only one of the best of the summer but of the entire year! Expect a posthumous Best Supporting Actor Oscar win for Heath Ledger at the "2009 Oscars."

Batman (Christian Bale) raises the stakes in his war on crime in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Movie."

The late Heath Ledger costars as The Joker.

In "The Dark Knight," with the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker (the late Heath Ledger).

This is the sequel to "Batman Begins," so it could, theoretically, be called "Batman Begins 2."
