"The Fast & The Furious 4"
at www.wildaboutmovies.com

Eight years after the original, Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez are back to pick up a hefty paycheck - and speed away at the movie box office, in the fourth in the "Fast And Furious" movie franchise.
While Wild About Movies predicted over $60 million for "Fast & Furious," its first three days in movie theaters, we were well below what the film will make with our prediction.
Its first weekend in movie theaters, "Fast & Furious" grabbed $73 million.
The film opened in more than 3400 cinemas, nationwide - and will undoubtedly attract every boy between the ages of 11 and 22 - and many men who wish they were still in that age range.
Not only did "Fast & Furious" post the best day for the Universal franchise since its 2001 launch, but the best opening day overall prior to summer (until this year, the first weekend in May) and for the month of April. Warner Bros.' "300" previously owned the opening day title prior to May with $28.1 million while Sony's "Anger Management" notched an April opening day high with $15.4 million.
"Fast & Furious" also scored opening day career highs for Vin Diesel and Paul Walker.
Also new in movie theaters, the raunch/com "Adventureland," a great raunch comedy. However, it pretty much bombed at the movie box office, with $6 million.
It seems that the three week old Paramount Picture "I Love You, Man," is the season's most popular R-rated comedy. Its third weekend in movie theaters "I Love You, Man" grabbed nearly $8 million at the movie box office.
New in limited release this weekend, in movie theaters - a plethora of films including:
"Alien Trespass," starring Eric McCormack; "The Escapist," from IFC films; "Gigantic," starring Paul Dano; the Sony Classics movies "Sugar" and "Paris 36" as well as the movie "The Song Of Sparrows" from Regent Releasing. The documentary yoga film "Enlighten Up" and "Bart Got A Room." And "Tulpan" and the movie "Lifelines."
