"17 Again" #1
at www.wildaboutmovies.com

Zac Efron headlines the movie "17 Again" - reminiscent of the Jodie Foster version of "Freaky Friday" - new in theaters, and captured the #1 spot at the movie box office. Its first weekend in movie theaters, "17 Again" grabbed $24 million. ($6 million less than last week's Hannah Montana, Disney's other creation. Note: "17 Again" is not a Disney movie but Zac Efron is a Disney by product).
Also new in wide release, Jason Statham in "Crank 2" - which bombed with $6.5 million. And Russell Crowe in "State Of Play" - which walked away with the #2 spot and $14 million at the movie box office.
Also new in movie theaters, the limited releases: "April Showers," "American Violet," "The Golden Boys," "Sleep Dealer," "Is Anybody There?," "Every Little Step," "Gooby," and "The Lemon Tree."
