The founder of the Boston Society of Film Critics, David Brudnoy, dropped dead of AIDS in 2004, (way before his time, unfortunately), and is either rolling over in his grave or laughing in heaven, (he didn't believe in an after-life, if there is one). Why? Many of the current members of "The Boston Society of Film Critics," not including Tom Meek, Joyce Kulhawik, Dan Kimmel, Jay Carr, (who never should have left The Boston Globe), Peter Keough, Ed Symkus, Connie Gorfinkle, Jim Verniere or Bob Tremblay, are a cabal of incompetent 'film critics' - OR are movie critics who don't even live in or write for any Boston papers. "Once a member, a member for life."
