Its first weekend in movie theaters, "Wolverine" clawed to the #1 spot at the movie box office, with $87 million.

Matthew McConaughey, with his "Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past," was #2 at the movie box office, but with only $15 million; its first weekend in movie theaters.

The Lionsgate 3D family film "Battle For Terra," as expected, was DOA, with an embarassing $1 million.

Among the plethora of new 'limited' releases, the Jim Jarmusch film "Limits Of Control," debuted with the best per screen average;
