The movie Death on the Nile (2021), whilst on vacation on the Nile, Hercule Poirot must investigate the murder of a young heiress.
Oscar nominee Kenneth Branagh (Henry V) directs and stars in the film, the sequel to the 2017 box office hit Murder On The Orient Express.
Death on the Nile is a remake of the 1978 film of the same name, which featured Mia Farrow and Peter Ustinov. In the original film, Ustinov played Hercule Poirot.
All of the films are based on Agatha Christie novels of the same names.
Armie Hammer and Gal Gadot star in this remake. Kenneth Branagh also stars in the film.
The film was originally scheduled for release in November 2019. Due to reshoots, it was postponed.
Then scheduled for release on October 9, 2020, the film was put on the shelf due to Wuhan coronavirus and all movie theaters in the world being closed. Its new, tentative, release date is October 23, 2020 TBD.
