Ridley Scott, director of Alien, Blade Runner and Gladiator will be back in Best Picture and Best Director Oscar race at the 2015 Oscars with Exodus Gods And Kings.
In the movie Exodus Gods And Kings, based on the Old Testament book of the same name, Oscar winner Christian Bale plays Moses and Joel Edgerton, who still hasn’t made it big in Hollywood, and most likely never will, plays Ramses.
Exodus Gods and Kings, tells the story of one man’s daring courage to take on the might of an empire. Using state of the art visual effects (actually, way too much CGI), Ridley Scott brings new life to the story of the defiant Jewish leader Moses (Christian Bale) as he rises up against the Egyptian Pharaoh (Joel Edgerton), setting 600,000 Jewish slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues.
Very odd that Hollywood would choose a Caucasian, Joel Edgerton, to play Ramses/Pharaoh of Egypt, who in real life was fifty shades of brown. Really ridiculous. Vin Diesel would have been the perfect choice.
