The movie Before I Go To Sleep tells the story of a woman (Oscar winner Nicole Kidman) wakes up every day, remembering nothing as a result of a traumatic accident in her past. One day, new terrifying truths emerge that force her to question everyone around her.
The most interesting aspect of this movie are not its two Oscar winning stars, rather its director. You don’t know his name, yet. Rowan Joffe. However, his father, Roland, is the twice Oscar nominated director, who made a splash in the mid 1980s, (The Killing Fields and The Mission), but has since fallen into oblivion.
Can Rowan Joffe do what his father couldn’t? Win an Oscar for directing? Do stay tuned.
