The movie August: Osage County is based on the Pulitzer Prize and Tony winning play of the same name.
The film takes a look at the lives of the strong-willed women of the Weston family, whose paths have diverged until a family crisis brings them back to the Midwest house they grew up in, and to the dysfunctional woman who raised them.
Meryl Streep will certainly receive her umpteenth Oscar nomination for the film and could win, which would put her in a tie with the late Katherine Hepburn with four acting Oscars.
