The "2008 Academy Awards" which will mark the "80th Oscars Ceremony," will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood - 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time / 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.

Jon Stewart hosted the "80th Academy Awards" ceremony.

Presenters at the "2008 Academy Awards" included 2007 Academy Award winners: Alan Arkin (Best Supporting Actor Oscar Winner 2007 for "Little Miss Sunshine"); Jennifer Hudson (2007 Best Supporting Actress Academy Award Winner for "Dreamgirls"); Helen Mirren (Best Actress Oscar Winner 2007 for "The Queen"); Forrest Whitaker (Best Actor Academy Award Winner 2007 for "Last King of Scotland").




The "2008 Academy Award nominations" ballots were mailed on Wednesday, December 26th and the "2008 Oscar nominations" polls were closed Saturday January 12, 2008 at 5 p.m. PST. The "2008 Academy Award nominations" were announced at 5:30 a.m. PST on Tuesday 22 January. Final ballots were mailed by Wednesday 30 January, and the "2008 Oscar ballots" were due back by Tuesday 19 February 2008.
