"Eagle Eye" #1
at www.wildaboutmovies.com

Eagle Eye Poster

"Eagle Eye," (a dreadful movie), starring movie box office lord Shia LaBeouf, is this weekend's #1 movie at the movie box office. Its first three days in multiplexes, "Eagle Eye" swooped away with nearly $30 millon. There are an additional baker's dozen of new movies opening in multiplexes and single screen venues around the nation this weekend. Coming in at #2, the Richard Gere / Diane Lane weepfest "Nights In Rodanthe." The biggest surprise of the year, so far, at the movie box office: Capturing #4 at the movie box office this weekend, the Christian, independent film "Fireproof," in less than 900 theaters, starring 80s sitcom "Growing Pain," Kirk Cameron. As expected, Spike Lee's horrid "Miracle At St. Anna" achieved no such feat at the movie box office. The Lionsgate Rachel McAdams movie "The Lucky Ones" were no such thing. Its first three days in movie theaters "The Lucky Ones" took in a very unlucky $489 per theater. (Compare that pitiful amount to the $8319 per screen for "Eagle Eye" its first three days in movie theaters.)
