"The Dark Knight" #1
at www.wildaboutmovies.com

Dark Knight"Pineapple Express," featuring the catchy Huey Lewis song of the same name, broke movie box office records its first day in movie theaters, grabbing over $12.5 million, a record for a Wednesday August theatrical release. That one day record is the only record "Pineapple Express" will break. It settles for the #2 spot at the movie box office for the weekend. "The Dark Knight," its fourth weekend in movie theaters, took the #1 spot at the movie box office, with $26 million, its fourth consecutive weekend at #1. Since its debut on July 18th, "The Dark Knight" has earned $441 million at North American movie theaters. "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2," which also opened Wednesday, took in $11 million during the weekend and has grossed $18.5 million since its Wednesday opening.
